Many years ago, when I was looking to create a website, I didn't realize that picking January would end up being a really bad time to start one. I thought, it was the beginning of the year, that should make things easy. That was not the case. January ended up being one of my busiest times.
Also, I really wasn't sure how well the business would do, do I do a website for a year, revisit before time to renew? Sounded good at the time. Well a year later, I was busy, just renewed and went on. The next year, prices were higher for a hosting. So I upgraded and got the website for 2 years. Now we have just passed year 5 and the prices are a lot more. OVER 100% more. Now, my business has grown, more efficient, it was time to dive into expenses, so I looked into my options for web hosting's. This year, I didn't renew. I went with another web host.
This helped me learn a few things. I was with one of the top E-commerce hosting companies. These companies have everything and more you need, depending on your circumstance. I myself found, I didn't use half of it. Plus, the few things I wanted to use, comes at a monthly price. So it was time to "downgrade" and just make things more simple.
So here we are, I was not able to transfer my site, it said I built my website with a template and that cannot be transferred. OK, I did not want to start from scratch again, but what am I going to do? Start over, HAHA! I am in my busy season and I just turned my business upside down! I will be working every day to get everything ALMOST back to normal with a different look.
